Frequently Asked Questions
What is a tile removal process?
A tile removal process refers to the method used to remove ceramic, porcelain, or other types of tiles (or any other flooring for that matter) from surfaces such as floors, walls, or countertops. Tile removal can be required for many reasons, such as renovations or the wish to change the appearance of a space. The specific process can vary depending on the type of tile, the surface it’s adhered to, and the tools and techniques used.
What are things to consider when removing tiles?
Assessment
Before starting the removal process, assess the type of tiles (e.g., ceramic, porcelain, natural stone) and the condition of the substrate (the surface under the tiles). This will help determine the most appropriate removal method.
Safety
Safety is crucial when removing tiles. Wear protective gear, including safety glasses, dust masks, gloves, ear protection and knee pads to protect yourself from tile fragments and dust.
Clear the Area
We know it’s obvious, but you’ve got to remove any furniture or obstacles from the area to make it easier to work and prevent any damage to your precious belongings.
What happens to the rubbish after the removal?
The Clean Up
We clean up any debris, dust, and leftover adhesive from the surface.
Dispose of Materials
We dispose of the old tiles and debris responsibly, following local regulations and guidelines for disposal. This generally requires you to hire an appropriately sized skip bin into which we place the rubbish.
